About Roush exhaust

A Roush exhaust gives your Ford the sound it should have had from the factory — deeper at idle and aggressive under throttle. Roush engineers each system for a specific truck or car and engine, so it bolts up to the factory mounting points.

We stock Roush exhaust for the Mustang, F-150, Raptor, Super Duty, Ranger and Bronco, sold at Roush retail with an installed price on every part page.

Axle-back vs. cat-back

An axle-back replaces the mufflers and tips behind the rear axle — the quickest way to change the sound. A cat-back replaces everything from the catalytic converters back, including the mid-pipes, for more flow and a bigger change in tone. Roush also offers tip kits and resonator-delete H-pipes and X-pipes for an extra step in volume.

Active exhaust compatibility

If your Mustang or F-150 came with Ford’s active exhaust (selectable sound modes), choose a Roush system listed as active or active-ready so your drive modes keep working. The fitment on each part page tells you which model years and engines it fits.

Install time

Most axle-back systems install in about an hour, and most cat-backs in about two. Every exhaust page shows the installed estimate at our $150/hr shop rate.

Roush F-150 exhaust FAQ

Which is louder, a Roush axle-back or cat-back?

Generally the cat-back, because it replaces more of the system. An axle-back is the more subtle, quicker upgrade. Adding a resonator-delete X- or H-pipe makes either one louder.

Will a Roush exhaust work with my factory active exhaust?

Roush makes active and active-ready versions for Mustang and F-150 models that have Ford’s active exhaust. Check the part title and fitment, or call us with your VIN and we’ll confirm.

How long does an exhaust install take?

About an hour for most axle-backs and about two hours for most cat-backs. Tip kits take less than an hour.

Can you ship Roush parts instead of installing them?

Yes. Use “Ask About Shipping” on any part page and we’ll confirm the price and shipping to your address anywhere in the US.
